What the app stores
Everything you type in — your vehicles, their service intervals, logged oil changes, odometer readings, notes and costs — is stored on your device, in the app's own database.
Your preferences (units, reminder time, haptics) are stored on your device as well. None of it is transmitted to me or to anyone else.
iCloud sync
If you are signed in to iCloud, your garage and its service history sync between your own devices using Apple's CloudKit, in your account's private database.
That distinction matters: a private CloudKit database is readable only by you, on your own devices. Apple does not expose its contents to app developers, so I have no way to see, retrieve or delete your records. There is no server of mine involved at any point.
Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. You can turn syncing off at any time in iOS Settings, and the app keeps working as a local-only app.
Notifications
Reminders are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. Nothing is sent through a push server, and no notification content ever reaches me.
The app does register for background notifications, but only so that iCloud can tell it when data has changed on another of your devices. It is never used to send you messages.
What the app does not do
- Analytics
None. No usage tracking, no crash-reporting SDK, no session recording.
- Advertising
None. No ad networks, no ad identifier (IDFA), no App Tracking Transparency prompt because there is nothing to track.
- Third-party code
None. The app is built solely on Apple's own frameworks.
- Accounts
None. No sign-up, no email address, no password.
- Permissions
Notifications only, and only if you allow them. No location, camera, contacts, photos or microphone access is requested.
- Data sales
Never. There is no data to sell, and there never will be.
What Apple sees
Because the app is distributed through the App Store, Apple handles the download and any purchase. Apple may share aggregated, anonymised statistics with me — download counts, territories, crash reports if you have opted in to sharing them with developers.
That data arrives already aggregated and cannot be traced back to an individual. It is produced by Apple's platform, not by anything in the app.
If the app asks you to rate it, that prompt is Apple's own and is handled entirely by the operating system. I do not learn whether you responded, or what you said.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes its data from that device. To remove the synced copy as well, open iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage, and delete the app's data there.
There is no request to send me and no account to close, because I hold nothing of yours. Under the GDPR, the CCPA and comparable laws you have rights of access, correction and erasure over personal data a company holds about you — in this case the honest answer is that the set is empty.
Children
The app is not directed at children and collects no personal data from anyone, regardless of age.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever changes in a way that affects this policy, the policy is updated here first, and the date at the top changes with it. Should a future version ever collect anything at all, it will say so plainly and ask before doing it.
